2012.

i actually started writing this today, on 26 December 2012, and hope that i can finish this on time. last year dunno why i take so long and then before i knew it, its the next year... >.<

not sure why i like to blog entry like this - its getting a bit dated.. and this year i am exceptionally enthusiastic about it, dunno why also - starting days before the last day. but i just like to see how much i have in the past year and am blessed that i have made through another year with God's grace =)

well.. before the clock strikes twelve and people starts to sing Burns' favorite song, i would like to reminisce on my lovely 2012. =)

realised i have quite a few FIRST in 2012.

the biggest first was...










i got married for the FIRST time and became mrs yeo!! hehehe..

was crazy and super busy with wedding preparations - sleeping like 4-5 hrs per day and dropping to 2-3hrs one month before the big day. but at the end of the day, i must say that i enjoy the process and enjoy even more being "queen". hahaha.. but i wasnt a bad queen okie.. i only bad to people who are naughty - keep calling to request/ask to be seated with whom and not with whom.. hey we are not playing musical chair okie! and i think you are super rude to request more than once without valid reasons.. sorry i digress.

i feel utterly blessed on wedding day. not just because i finally got married but because friends and family made time for it and showered us with generous gift and love. some even flew in just for the event - i am speechless. *tearing up.. thank you all for loving us so much. we are blessed to have you in our lives.

its really lovely to be married.. someone to wake up to.. and when i cant sleep, i just poke the person beside me to ask him to wake up and talk to me! wahahaha...


it was also the FIRST time i lived somewhere not in the east in sg.... ok that weak sauce.. but it was quite a huge move in my life so far and there was quite a bit of things to get used to.

one of which i still cannot really get used to is the time it takes to go work! my alarm rings at 0625 every morning and i will snooze for 10 more mins and get out of the house before 0715 to reach work before 0830. yah, have to reach BEFORE 0830 and i blame it on my cheena secondary school who taught me that "on time is late"!


princess' adorable niece had her FIRST birthday!

time flies.. remembering she was so small & tiny and suddenly she is walking, talking and running.. nowadays she follows me around the house curious about what i am doing and will keep calling me 三婶.. so cute and precious right! =)


and and and.. for the FIRST time in 10 years i had short hair!

and i thought i looked like my sims character though.. lol

many people keep telling me i very "brave" to cut my hair short but i think it takes more courage to see them falling out. =S

i went diving for the FIRST time!


FIRST time i was the wedding mcee!

i really almost had an heart-attack when i stood up there.. but after awhile i was having more fun than anything else.. =P

would i do it again? NO! but if for close friends then maybe. cus its really weird to stand up there give heartfelt speeches to the wedding couple if not close.. =S


went on a rendezvous the FIRST time with my scandal!

we secretly went to bkk. 

i never tell the hubs, she never tell her friends.
we just told facebook. 

went to climb the Gunung Lambak (in chinese its 南峇山) the FIRST time!

though its summit is only 510m above sea level, but, 

as its chinese name suggest, its really very 难爬.

thanks to my personal local guide, 

otherwise i would have fall to my death... =(

donate to the blood bank the FIRST time!

after talking about it for almost 6-7 years, i finally made it!
all thanks to TPS or else it would be another 6-7 years before it happen.
=)

we bought a house for the FIRST time!
and luckily the world did not end on the 21/22 dec.. or i would have died homeless and wasted money which i could have used to go for a proper honeymoon.. =P


saw tong the FISRT time after we graduated!


went on a overseas trip with so many colleagues the FIRST time!

2012 was a great year.

i am thankful for all i am given - the needs, the wants, the family, the friends i have in my life.

in 2012, i have learnt and am still learning to keep the important people close to me..

and for those "friends" who thinks that you deserve help without even a proper "thanks!" just because i am your "friend", i have learnt to let go and pretend that did not hurt forgive. i am blessed to have close friends in my life who i can depend on. i shall not be greedy and hope for more. i just hope you can find like minded friends who you can depend on too... :)

in 2012, i am being reminded to let go, be less demanding and let God take lead. everything will be done according to His will and in His time. :)

to much disappointment, for one reason or another, my company did not organised any trips this year, again. though they promised that they would last year.

so we decided to do it ourselves. =)))

went to kukup over the weekend with 21 other colleagues - some had already left the firm and some are from different department. i am so glad to have colleagues like them and to go for a trip together.

kukup did not change much since the last time i were there. but its the people that made it fun!

looking forward to have another good year with them.. =)

and so i went shopping and got myself this as xmas present!

my tea is ready!

my family have been crazy about this tea ever since last week when we went to jiufen in taiwan. they have been drinking it since then while i just started mine 5 minutes ago.. cus i cannot find a suitable water bottle to fix on the filter. so was drooling and dreaming about it the past few days.. =P

its actually just oolong tea..

but but but the lady told us of its super powers effectiveness in lowering blood sugar, preventing high blood pressure, help weight loss, shed a few kilos, reduce tummy size, losing weight, etc.. (err.. you get the idea?) and we were sold!

how to make the tea.
first find a suitable water bottle that would fit the filter. using the other end of the filter, which is a scoop, and put in 1-1.5 scoop. fill the bottle with room temperature water, put the cap back on and wait!

i made my tea yesterday before i left office and this morning i have tea! YAY!

actually i also search googled the effectiveness and it seems that the weight loss claim is not really proven and it seems to contain caffeine. anyway i am still going to enjoy my tea... *taking another sip of tea..

am back from taiwan finally!

yah.. finally cus i was starting to miss my bed and the last accommodation was really bad.. =( dirty and service was lousy.. *bleah

feeling so tired now from all the washing and unpacking... *arms aching..

having very weird dreams these few nights.. can only remember two - one from the other night about some one helping me to apply moisturiser on my dry nose (my nose is really dry due to the weather in taiwan) and another one from last night about someone stealing and selling my favourite clothes at a night market (*woke up and went to check if they are still in my wardrobe...) had another one after checking but i cant remember it now.. =( the problem with these dreams feels so real i keep waking up cus its weird.

not sure if it the dreams thats making me tired or what but hopefully i will be able to sleep well tonight.. good night everyone! =)

anyway it's day 4 in taiwan now and the weather is good today. has been raining the past few days and the sun is finally out today! but it was still shy this morning and we were not able a catch a sunrise view at alishan.. what a waste! :(

we are now on our way to sun moon lake and they are having road repairs on few sections of the expressway and we can only pass these section during their break time... hopefully they go break soon cause my stomach is growling! lol...

feeling so tired.. =(

on annual leave today but woke up at 8 to do the final planing of the taipei trip... i think i will be excited tomorrow but now Zzzzzz....

but thinking of the food makes me excited!!

apparently the colleague when to malaysia for a short trip and only got pressie back for the non-malaysian colleagues cus it feels weird to things from other people's country and give it back to them as souvenirs.. hahahaha.. so funny one...  

loosing tastebuds.

something is wrong with me! i cant taste my food! T.T

its not a total loss of taste just that most things taste bland to me. the only things that was really delicious i ate the past week was the truffle fries and grapes. O.o

so i guess the salty and sweet taste buds are still working but then again.. milo is bland and my favourite smith's chicken potatoes chips dodo got me from aussie is also very bland. which is sad. 

coffee was already tasting weird weeks ago. i can only taste that it is mildly sweet with no taste of coffee but and i can still smell the rich velvety beverages.. can smell but cannot taste, my tongue is hating me. 

the more obvious was last night's kimchi. i was having dinner on my own and was happy that i could finally eat the kimchi princesss bought from korea. he was raving about how balanced the spicy and sourness was. i love kimchi and took a big spoonful. ITS BLAND! just teeny weeny bit sour. it was like eating cold cabbage. was so disappointed then maybe thought it lost its favor after its flight back.. then his bro came home and his mummy joined us chatting at the dinner table. she then ask me if i have tried the kimchi and i said yes, not very nice right? then she say its very spicy! even his bro agreed. but seriously it didnt taste spicy at all... *continued to eat the yummy delicious tasty grapes..

the peak of the event was this morning when i was brushing my teeth. i have a ulcer on my upper gums and so it bleed. there was so much blood that i was spitting out blood but i cant taste that at all.. if i did not see the blood, i wont know that i am bleeding.. that really scared me.

can someone tell me what is wrong and how to get my tastebuds back? i miss them! and my coffee. 

getting old already, must have more reminders everywhere.

The average bed will have been the host for 720 arguments, 3,640 cuddles and 120 breakfasts-in-bed in it's lifetime.

It will also have been there while you read 240 books, be used for 480 sex sessions and watched you have 4,160 kisses.

The study carried out by Dreamland found that our bed plays an important part in our relationships, and not just for obvious reasons.

Most couples will also have six arguments a month in bed, which equates to 720 over it's lifetime, with most of those being about hogging the duvet.

In the average ten year lifespan of a bed, people spend the equivalent of three and a half years in it.

However only two years and eight months of that is actually sleeping, with the rest of the time taken up relaxing, watching TV or having a steamy sex sessions.

The study also shows technology is invading our relaxing time making it a less relaxing place to be, as the average adult will send 14,600 texts from bed in that time.

On top of that they will spend over 70 days checking social networking sites, 38 hours and 50 minutes on the phone, and will send 4,160 emails from under the covers.

You will also spend 48 days in that ten years watching TV or DVDs in bed.

With the winter upon us, six out of ten us are hitting the sack earlier instead of putting the heating on – bringing our bed times forward by 28 minutes a night, whilst 19% of us are dragging our duvets to the sofa for a pre-bed snuggle.

this is the chair i sat and watched my grandpa and uncles as they worked on the tires and cars when i was little. 

i will refused to go home and be utterly amazed by how that red lever can lift such a huge car up or how that hand-held machine can cut wavy lines (regroove) onto the tires so perfectly.

i will sit there for hours until grandma comes out and collects me after calling the shop umpteen times.....

see.. isnt this amazing that the lever so small can lift the car up?

hellos & goodbyes.

was happy and sad the last weekend.

friday started out happy - JLKW came down to sg from kl! =)

well, he is just a guy, why so happy? cus he is my tong! 

we met when we were studying in uni. during one of the usual coffee meet ups with new friends and were trying to figure out who is the youngest of us all. and then...

dang dang dang!

we realised we were born on the exact same day! 同年同月同日生! =)

whats the chances huh! two people from different country going to the same uni overseas and born on the same day having coffee at milton together. anyway cus he doesnt really speak chinese and after the first meeting he only remembered me as 同同同. *kuakuakua

and seriously tong tong tong really sounds obit lor. so it became just "tong". 

after graduating from uni, he went back to kl and me back to sg. for the past 6 years, thanks to singtel, msn, friendster (*expired), facebook and now wadsapp, we manage to kept in contact. =) 

we talk about our lousy day, his latest expensive toys, the girls he like, his car got stolen.. O.o 

he would also randomly check on me.. like hows my new job coming along, my wedding preparations, my married life, etc.. really never thought that we would still be in touch after so long.

he is really smart, scored all perfect 7 in uni while mine is wavering around 3-5.. T.T 

he is really good at his job. despite the currency difference, he earns like 2.5 times more than me.. *sobs

oh wait we do have some things in common.. we are both generous, funny and nice people! ok this is so shameless but he really is.

anyway, we just found out who exactly is the older tong.. HE IS! he is born in the morning while me 10 mins to midnight..

still remember the first time i saw her walking in at 0850 on my first day at work... "WAH!! this office got pretty girl!"

then i soon got posted out to a job with her. she talks very little and works very fast. keeps chasing me if i am done with my part. 

as time goes by, i realised she isnt that quiet. hahaha. 

then i got posted out to another job with her and she talked more but still works very fast! we got married in the same year and shared our wedding research, joys and woes. we still went bbk together in august and now she is gone..... *sobs.

yes, we will go see you.. soon hopefully.
