went to the doc today for check up. they have puppy removed and replaced with puppy IV. =( and its sure an ugly one too.. princess calls it snake and pixie calls it chicken wing.. =(

did not realise how bad the fracture till today. even that moment i realised the little knob was on the wrong side, i still feel that it was not that bad - its just a fracture not broken, it will get better soon.

the first few days when they put puppy on me, my hand swell so big that i felt puppy was going to burst. both pain and swell pain went away after a few days. just that, there was this little bump of worry. though most people said that the bump might be just part of puppy, however i was not convinced and did a little investigation on my own. as the swell went away, my hand became thinner due to lack of movement so puppy grew a little big for me. was sure that if i were to thug puppy a little harder it would have came off and i would be able to see the bump. however, i was paranoid that my hand might come off like daniel wu's hand in shinjuku, i decided to stick my finger into puppy but the bump was too deep for my fingers. yes, i am that curious about that bump.

today, when the plaster technician, j, removed puppy, i was so scared of what i saw. my hand got so much thinner and looking so fragile. was still droupy and it still hurts like day one. IT DID NOT GET ANY BETTER!!

dr ej told me that they would try to put a new cast, from palm to above elbow, and i would have to go take xray to see if the cast could hold and join the bones back. puppy II failed miserably and have to be put away. puppy III was still 5d off. at that point, dr ej said that i could either:

1. re-cast
2. give up - might not have perfect mobility of wrist in future.
   
3. operation - the most perfect solution.
   

i should have guessed that shortest answer might not be as simple as it sounds. i was given a shot first before they thug and pull to shape the bones back. the shot did not work as well as planned and i almost died. i screamed and cried at each thug and after they finally finished, it felt like my hand had been mauled. and puppy IV bore the war scars - finger prints of dr ej on the the wrist, j on the fore arm and nurse above the elbow.

going back on monday again. and if puppy IV does not work also, i guess it would be operation then. =( this whole thing is just like a child's play which turned into a nightmare.

anyway, here is the only one thing that had made me laugh since the visit to the hospital:

mr goldfish had made me a plastic to keep puppy IV dry when i shower. was trying on to see if it fits and i started to laugh at what i saw and made him take an image of it. i kind of reminds me of a prawning and also of some body parts found at crime scene.

princess would be going out of town for few days and look who came to stay!! =D its smiley!! friend of my little man friend!!

24 hours.

the following post is typed painstakingly with one hand and it took the writer more than a week to complete. so please read it slowly with care and patience. and for the errors and sentences that doesnt make much sense, its the medication.

just a few hours before the knocking off hour, tripped and fell in the pantry. it happened all so fast and the next thing i knew is that i have scrapped my knees and toes. one more step i would have crashed into the cabinet full force. and if i was not wearing long pants, my knees would have bled. when i got home, the bruise on my right kneecap is still red and looking annoyed. =(

anyway, the plans for the evening was to have dinner and blading at east coast. princess was a little late but everything else when as planned. i even got my uob preferred platinum! its a sub card from princess.. meaning that when he goes diving then i can ka-ching ka-ching then he pays the bills for me when he comes back.. muahahaha.. first step to be a tai-tai.. whee!!

anyway after dinner, we took a stroll along the beach to digest our dinner and drove to the other end where theres less traffic to minimise the possibility of me crashing. =)

after blading over a distant, horrors of horrors, we have arrived at a gentle slope. read a book some time back about diving. it says that divers should not go into the sea if they feel that "the sea dont want" them. though i still dont dive, that was how i was feeling.. the slope didnt want me! princess was however convinced to help his gallant king over that little hill and reach our destination.

princess came up with a brilliant idea - he would be my human brakes. princess divided that hill, of about 6m 10-16d, into 3 sections and all i have to do was to blade towards him, who will be waiting at the end of each sections. the 1st and 2nd section felt easy so before going for the 3rd one, i asked princess if its as easy as it looks. without telling princess, i decided to do the 3rd one on my own. just went passed him a little, i fell with a thud. yes, i am that lousy.

my left wrist was screaming at me and i was screaming at princess to take off my wrist guard. in the midst of the screaming competition, the world suddenly seems beautiful with so many stars.... i would have sang "twinkle twinkle little stars" if i was not feeling so dizzy. i could not move. so princess drove the car over while i sat at the side of the pavement waiting for the stars to go away.

waited for like 3 hours to get my wrist in cast. was told by the nurse that there is a serious bout of food poisoning so the wait is longer than usual. it was the most uncomfortable 3 hours i had. was freezing as fever seeped in and the a&e had ran out of blankets. the ice pack on my swell isnt really warm either. cant really open my fingers. my righty is tired of holding my lefty in certain position. feeling moody.in pain.irritated, picking fights with poor princess over the most trivial matters who was obviously trying his best to make me as comfortable as possible. cant pee. cant sleep. cant eat. argh! =S

but before i continue, you have to find this little knob. if you were to look at your hands now, palms facing away, there is a little knob on the side of your ulna bone, not sure what is the name of the bone. will try to remember to ask the doctor at my next appointment. so found it? okie lets continue...

when we reached the a&e, princess took his wrist guard, which was used as a temporary splint to minimise movement, off my injured hand. princess panic at what he saw and hurried off to find an ice pack. that little knob has swollen to thrice its size. it was red and looking like it had just been stung. for the whole 4 hours i held steadfastly to my belief and only to realise, when explaining to pixie the accident, that the little knob was on the wrong side!! my wrist was so swollen that the little knob had disappeared and the fracture was quite bad that it had created everest on top of the swell!! AAAHHHHH!!!

as if i have not had enough. woke up at around 10 in the morning. feeling so excited that i can finally go bathe that i walked right into this...



... adding another blue black and a new cut to the family on my left leg.. =( within 24 hours i have injured 3 of my limbs in various ways... glad that a day have only 24 hours or i would have lost all my limbs.. sigh.. really.. what a day..

however, despite of my misery, something happened which made me smiled. on that never-ending road to the hospital, mr goldfish called me princess!! YES YES YES!!! i am finally the princess and he is the king. at last, the long-fought battle is over and i won!! well, as you might have guessed, right after the 4 hours, i lost my title. sniff sniff. next time, if it happens again, i will make him sign on the dotted line... then the title would be forever mine!! muahahaha!! MUHAHAHA!!
