100 days old!

my baby is 100 days old today!

sounds like a long time but it seems only like yesterday we took her home from the hospital but yet it feels like i have known her for an eternity already.. so weird.

photo on the left was taken when she was two days old.
and the photo on the right is taken today!

we took her for her 3rd month development check 3 days ago and she seems right on par! she weighs about 6.7kg and is 62.5cm tall (another 99cm she will be taller than me!) which makes her a 97 percentile baby!

  • she seems to be developing well also. she was already able to do what older babies can do.

  • she excites at a toy

  • grasps rattle in hand - which she just learnt a few days before we took her for the check. =)

  • laughs - getting more and more often nowadays.. YAY!

  • bears weigh on legs

  • hold head up at 90 degrees - she could already lift her head 45 degrees when she was one month old. and recently she just gave us a surprise of lifting her head higher by another 45 degrees while kpo-ing at us talking during her tummy time!

taken on the 15dec when she was one month old =)

at about six weeks old.

and this was taken on 11feb just a few days before she turned three months old!
isnt she just so amazing!
not just my baby lah but isnt it just amazing that when babies are born they hardly can do anything except to cry? then just weeks down the road they can do this, can do that..
how have you grown the past 4 weeks?
i just grew older and wider at the waist.

the only thing she was not able to do was to pick up small items on the table cus we never leave small items around for her to pick up. but its okie since that is only what babies normally do only at around 5.5 months old.. another 2 months to go.. =)

anyway we, as the kiasu mama and grandma, has started to "train" her to pick up the raisin from our palms. we told her that the raisin is for eating and we put it into our mouths to chew it. she seems to understand cus the next time we ask her to pick the raisin up, she used her bouncy head kungfu to try to put the raisin into her mouth! (-_-") 真是個名副其實的"飯來張口, 衣來伸手"的小懶蟲! 不亏是我的女儿! =P

she also got vaccinated on that day..

poor girl.. cried so loudly but it felt like she was more unhappy than pain cus we disturbed her sleep.. she fell asleep shortly after we left the room. maybe 痛到暈倒了? lol.

she woke up later looking like that..

and still can eat her drumsticks means "ok" already lah! hahaha..

since we were already out, we took her to shave her hair...

surprisingly she did not shed a tear. =)

the day before 19feb, the vacination + hair cut day, was the first time i smack her on her thighs (#heartbreaks) and she seems to understand that she was being punished. she looked around for someone to save her but no one came. i asked her if she knew she was wrong, then she cried for a short while and gave the most 可憐 face. and when she stopped, i asked her again what will happen if her misbehaves herself, she cried again for a short while with her 可憐 face. this continued for 15 mins every time i talked to her until her daddy came home. and the whole time she refused to look at me (#heartbreaksagain. my three months old can 耍脾氣 already!)

looking forward to the fourth month. hopefully no heartbreaks but many laughter and smiles.

going to work harder to make things work out. m reminded me that when we were young we only wanted our parents to spent time with us. may it be a day a home, we were already happy. we dont care if they make a lot of money or not. (i always hope my parents dont make too much money.. more money = more tuition class = less time to play. hahaha...) so true but, now as a parent, i cant help but worry if money is enough. i want my child to live a comfortable live and have good education. =(

i really felt so useless that day. was depressed for a few days and mopped around the house. but little girl continued to laugh so much during those few days. both m and the hubs were right. =)
